National Day
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day on September 23rd each year to commemorate the unification and founding of the nation by His Majesty King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him.
On this day in the year 1351 AH (1932 AD), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was officially established following the monumental efforts of King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud. A royal decree issued on the 17th of Jumada Al-Oula 1351 AH declared the unification of various tribal regions into a single nation under the name of Saudi Arabia. King Abdul Aziz chose September 23rd, 1932, as the official date for the proclamation of the Kingdom.
